Weekend trends.

I spent some of my time this weekend in LA and Malibu. While strolling the coast and the city, I noticed quite a few trends. The most prominent one was the army jacket. These jackets are being paired with chic ensembles, and are definitely making a comeback. They're an easy way to keep warm, or give an edge to your every-day outfits. You can put it on over a dainty sundress and pair it with some combat boots, or you can make it casual with a plain tee and jeans. They're also easy to find. Keep your eye out for these trendy jackets while at the mall, a thrift shop, or even your parent's closet!

and atmosphere.

Back in black

I love the color black. Now, I know what you're thinking: black is for punks. black is boring. black is just something to flatter everyone.

Well friends, I've got news for you. Black is all of the above, but it's also so much more! You can dress it up, dress it down or put it anywhere in between.

Here are some of my favorite ways to wear black:
-Wear all black! But don't just throw on a plain black tee with black jeans, a black hoodie and black shoes. Do it right like these ladies! By mixing up the textures and shapes of their clothes, they are pulling off the classy & chic all black look.

-Add a pop of color with a predominantly black outfit. Her bright lipstick, shoes and jacket break up her dress and tights.

-Here's my favorite outfit with lots of black accents!

my favorite cold weather item: a loose cable knit sweater looks great for my body type and it goes with everything!

**leggings! leggings! leggings! i can't stress that enough. they go with every loose sweater and coat.

**black steve madden boots. i'm obsessed with mine and wear them with everything. you can't go wrong. 

**infinity scarves are perfect!! super cute but also simple, casual, and warm.
